Genealogy Software

Roots Magic $29.95 Not a bad price. I am currently trying out the trial version and so far I really like it.

Family Tree Legends FREE This program has free real time internet backup & publishing on Gencircles You have to join of course, which is also FREE. SmartMatching™ - Find, review, and integrate matching data in the files of other Family Tree Legends users.

I always like FREE but this program has some glitches from time to time and occasionally the website goes down for a couple days.

Tech support is pretty much non-existent...remember, it is FREE. LOL!

Family Tree Maker $39.95 I personally have never liked this program, tech support is horrible IF you ever get a response.

Welcome to The McKinley Chronicles!

This is a social network for genealogy researchers of the McKinley surname and related families. A place to share genealogical information, materials, photos, census records, etc. If you are a McKinley or a descendant of the McKinley's please join us in our travels! Maybe we can help each other sort out these McKinley Clans and even jump a few brick walls in the process!

Please remember that some information contained on this website may be speculation and there could be discrepencies and errors contained in the information provided. Information will be obtained from a wide range of sources and individuals. But that is the point of this network, to sort through it all and possibly come up with proof of information we may have. So please, do not take everything as being rock solid. Take the information and check out sources for yourself to be certain.

I am in hopes that those of us who may have copies of birth, death, or any other kinds of original documents, can scan them in and share them.

Happy Hunting!

IMPORTANT!!

It is required that members have a legitimate working e-mail account when they sign up for The McKinley Chronicles. I require this for one main reason. This helps me eliminate fraudulent members who are only here to create problems.

When you sign up for membership and do not include information in the required fields, (i.e. Your McKinley ancestors such as parents, grandparents), your membership will be declined. Typing in Uknown, don't know will not work. You need to know at least who your parents and grandparents are and this information has to be put in the field. This is done to avoid fraudulent and robot submitted applications.
